A girlfriend messaged me at work the other day to say I was on the front page of the Cockburn Gazette. I just laughed. Could not believe it. Out of all the stories that are more relevant in the community, this turned out to be on the front page. But I'm not going to lie, it does feel good to be a little recognised and seeing this little dream come to reality. It's really cool actually.
Anyway thanks to Bryce at the Cockburn Gazette for the article and making Beso Beso swimwear headline this week. And thank you to all my friends and family and facebook followers for the support along the way.

Beso Beso is so excited to annouce that a piece was featured in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition (see shoot below), with Namibian model Adaora wearing the 'Pretty Eyed' bottoms.
This is huge! And I should probably be more excited than I am, but I am truly humbled and happy that it finally happened after waiting since April 2012 when I got the email from Sports Illustrated asking for my samples after seeing it on bathingnews.com. Hey, it goes to show anything can happen.
Anyway here are the shots...

Last month I discovered my new friend Shae, has her own jewellery label. Introducing Ronny & Ruby. Beautifully handcrafted sterling silver jewellery which incorporates gem stones and gorgeous finds which are just so delicate with the right mix of edge and femininity. I'm in love.
Thank you Shae for my 2 necklaces above. I adore them. I must say, they are of exquisite quality, hand-made by an exquisite person.
You can visit Ronny & Ruby on their facebook page, just click on the link below and hit the 'like' button:

|L-R: Beso Beso, Bikini Atoll, Cebiche. Posing for The West.|
|Me and the gorgeous Lou, designer of Bikini Atoll. |
Amazing AMAZING designer & mama of 2 beautiful boys.
Sadly, today's show was cancelled due to the rain :(
Luckily Sunday is looking much brighter and sunnier so we are pumped for then!
Thank you to my supporters who made it down anyway, so sorry to disappoint.
So, between now and then, I am off to judge a singing/talent competition. I'm loving the variety that has been thrown at me this weekend. And after all of this, I'm going to enjoy an evening with Flannel, drink some french champagne and see some beautiful garments while spending time with some awesome people. So excited!!! I'm getting ready (but sad) to leave my role at Sass & Bide and looking forward to a new adventure with Morrison. Life cannot get any more stylish right now. Love it.

It's been a little crazy here at Beso Beso. This week I received the last of my samples from New York. A few months ago I was asked to send some pieces to Sports Illustrated for an upcoming shoot. I put a look together for a specific story and I am hoping to see this look grace a page of the swimwear edition. When I opened up my package today - I was pleased to see some scuff marks on both pieces, which means - They took it on location!! I wonder who got to wear it?
I was also hoping my samples would get here in time for Perth Fashion Festival. So now I can slip this look into the show. Last minute touches are happening as I type and cannot wait for tomorrow.
I am very pleased to say fittings went really well during the week and last minute touches have been made. I was so happy to re-unite with Chloe from Chadwicks (my model for the lookbook) and Sheldean from Scene (a former colleague). It feels good working with all of the models. I feel at ease now.
The first show will be tomorrow at STM Fashion Central, Forrest Place at 2pm and the second will be Sunday, same place at 3pm. Free to the Public.
Come down and show your support to your local designers and look out for the gold hand painted visors by yours truly.
